Course Description

The Swiss Institute of Mindfulness, in a USABP Spotlight Series Event, present a guided embodied exploration. Taught and led by Boaz B. Feldman, NeuroSystemics co-founder.

There is mounting empirical evidence to show that our physiology functions through systems, through networks. Polyvagal theory describes that when we socially engage with other people, our nervous system regulates and restores itself. In this workshop, we will look at group psychotherapy and how to create relational contexts of safety, orientation, and enjoyment for greater physiological functioning and well-being.

We will also explore how physiology is embedded in psycho-emotional networks. Broaden-and-Build theory from Barbara Fredrickson gives many positive psychology tips to support a sense of wholeness by connecting sensory awareness practices to psycho-affective states.

Important Aspects of the Webinar:
▪ Systemic somatics: what is it?
▪ Polyvagal theory applications in group psychotherapy
▪ Key principles of the evidence-based group psychotherapist
▪ Tools from positive psychology’s Broaden-and-Build theory
▪ Fractal principles for psycho-physiological regulation

Participants will be able to:
- operate 3 tools for neuroceptive safety in group therapy
- choose from 3 key questions they can ask their clients to support resiliency-building
- conduct positive psychology strategies to increase enjoyment and pleasure in therapy
- apply a core set of empirically-based Fractal principles to guide them for inner practice, 1:1 therapy, and group psychotherapy.

Bonus materials include a video exercise and additional resource links.
